Clearing the Browser's Cache

To save cycle time and improve overall performance, most browsers are set to retrieve version of the page that is in the local machine's hard drive. However, after making a change that affects the live store page, you want the browser to retrieve the page from the web server rather than the obsolete version that is stored in your local machine.

To force retrieval from the web server, you may need to clear the cache.

To clear the cache in Internet Explorer

1. Select View > Internet Options.

2. Select the General tab.

3. In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files.

4. In the History section, select Clear History.
