About Themes

A theme is a unified color scheme for text elements and page layout areas. When applied, a theme gives the pages in your web an attractive and consistent appearance.

A base theme is automatically applied to all pages in the site. Once a page has been added to the site, you can:

You can preview a theme before applying it by selecting it from the list of available themes. The Web Site Editor includes over 25 predefined themes from which to choose.

You can also create a new theme from any other theme and save it as a custom theme to use in your site.

Applying a Theme to a Page

There are four ways to apply a theme to a page in PowerWebBuilder:

Apply a theme to an individual page when you want to apply a theme other than the currently applied theme for that page.

Replace the applied theme when you want to apply a new theme to one or more pages that have already been assigned the same theme and you want to apply the new theme across the same pages in your site.

Replace all assigned themes with the base theme when you want to replace the themes assigned to all pages with a single theme.

Apply a different theme to all pages using the base theme.
