A. PowerWebBuilder repeats images inserted in a background area if the image is smaller than the selected area.
To insert a background that fits the page without tiling on a standard 800 by 600 screen, upload a 1120H x 680W background image.
To insert a background that fits the top margin without tiling on a standard 800 by 600 screen, upload a 80H x 800W background image.
To insert a background that fits the left margin without tiling on a standard 800 by 600 screen, upload a 112H x 120W background image.
Note that any site visitor with a higher monitor resolution (such as 1280 pixels wide by 1024 pixels high) views the graphic tiled vertically. If the original graphic is narrower than 800 pixels, the graphic tiles up to the 800th pixel. No image appears beyond the 800th pixel.
A. PowerWebBuilder may display the equivalent HTML code tag for some punctuation marks if you paste text into a PowerWebBuilder text box set to Interpret HTML. For example:
|
Copied text: |
You’ll wonder why |
|
Text displayed in text box: |
You’ll wonder why |
If you save and then preview this text, it should appear on the page as normal punctuation. However, if you edit the text and set the text box to Don't interpret; display code as typed, these characters will also be displayed on your published page.
To correct this problem you must manually replace the html code tags with the appropriate punctuation.
To avoid this condition in the future do not change the html display settings after pasting text into a PowerWebBuilder text box.
